Celebrating Sara at 75

A Very Special Reunion of Family, Friends & Silversea Travel Buddies

Saturday, August 29, 2026 | Arlington, Virginia

Some birthdays deserve more than a celebration—they deserve a reunion.

Sara’s 75th was one of those occasions.

Family, longtime friends, and special friends we’ve met while traveling the world with Silversea came together at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia, for an unforgettable evening celebrating Sara.

There was wonderful food, laughter, dancing, extraordinary music, and, most importantly, the people who have shared so many memorable chapters of life’s journey with Sara.

Happy 75th Birthday, Sara!

“Your Presence Is My Present”

That’s how Sara described what she wanted for her 75th birthday—and it perfectly captured the spirit of the evening. This wasn’t about presents. It was about bringing together the people who have made life’s journey so special.

Where In The World Are We?

An Evening to Remember

The celebration took place in the third-floor ballroom of the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia.

Sara had thought of every detail—including personalized menus for each guest based on everyone’s selections. Dinner and service were exceptional, but the real pleasure was sharing the evening around the table with wonderful friends.

A Little Bit of the World Cruise Came to Sara

And then came Sara’s birthday surprise.

Over the years, our Silversea World Cruises have introduced us not only to extraordinary places, but also to extraordinary people.

Among them were Shimi Goodman and Chris Hamilton—Tiano, the wonderfully entertaining tenor-and-piano duo whose performances we had enjoyed at sea.

For Sara’s 75th birthday, the world cruise came to Arlington.

Shimi and Chris provided an evening of music ranging from Broadway and movie favorites to beautiful ballads, laughter and, ultimately, a very special rendition of “Happy Birthday” for Sara.

TIANO — HEADLINE ENTERTAINMENT

For her 75th birthday celebration, Sara wanted entertainment that would make the evening truly unforgettable.

After enjoying their spectacular performances aboard our Silversea World Cruises, she knew exactly who she wanted—Tiano, featuring internationally acclaimed tenor Shimi Goodman and virtuoso pianist Chris Hamilton.

Together, Shimi and Chris combine extraordinary musical talent with humor, warmth, and showmanship. Their performances can have you laughing one moment, singing along the next, and then move you to tears with a beautiful ballad.

For one very special evening, Sara brought a favorite part of our World Cruise experiences home to share with family and friends.

75 Years—and Still More Adventures Ahead

Birthdays are measured in years, but a life is better measured in friendships, experiences, laughter and memories.

Sara’s 75th birthday brought all of those together in one very special evening.

Looking around the room at family, old friends, and travel friends gathered from different chapters of life was a wonderful reminder that the greatest souvenirs from traveling the world aren’t the things we bring home.

They’re the friendships we bring home with us.

Happy 75th Birthday, Sara.

Here’s to good health, great friends, more laughter—and many more adventures around the world.
