The capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, is a multicultural metropolis of lively markets and tongue-tantalizing street food. Globe-trot between different streets and influences in minutes, as you discover diverse architectural treasures all over the city. Evenings are spent shopping in air-conditioned malls and bustling streets filled with sprawling outdoor markets. Fill up on fragrant coconut rice of nasi lemak and sink ice-cold beers to soak up the lively atmosphere.
Malaysia achieved independence in Merdeka Square in 1957, when the Union Jack was lowered, and Malaysia’s flag was hoisted high. One of Malaysia’s most visited attractions is Batu Caves, an awe-inspiring, colorful journey into a sacred void in these immense limestone cliffs. Huge statues tower over the brightly-hued steps, as you climb to the unique cave temple, in this most dramatic of locations.
The golden onion dome of the National Palace, Istana Negara, is a spectacular sight, where horses clop, and white-robed soldiers wait patiently. Look for the Malaysian flag fluttering before it – if it’s present, the King and Queen of Malaysia
are in residence. statues add another layer of cultural depth.

PETRONAS TOWER
The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, are the world’s tallest twin towers, standing at 451.9 meters (1,483 feet) tall with 88 floors. Completed in 1996 and opened in 1999, these iconic structures represent Malaysia’s economic growth and feature unique Islamic-inspired designs. They serve as commercial office hubs, including the Petronas company headquarters, a shopping center, and a major tourist attraction.

Our walk continued on to the Central Market. Once a bustling wet market, this heritage building houses many shops offering
antique clocks, jewelry, gems, woodcarvings, batik, pewter, and more. From here, walk to Chinatown for a visit to the Sze Yeh
Temple, believed to be the oldest Chinese temple in Chinatown. ‘Chi-Chong-Kai’, as the local Chinese call
Chinatown is a fun place to shop and eat.


































































Independence Square
Continue: you will have an opportunity for a photo stop at Independence Square. The former site of the Royal Selangor
Club, Independence Square Overlooks the main historical buildings of the city.









Pertronas Tower
After lunch, a photo stop is made at the entrance to the magnificent, world-renowned Petronas Twin Towers, the world’s
tallest twin buildings. This 88-story structure soars to a dizzying height of 1,483 feet above the city skyline. Our tour concludes with approximately one hour of free time at the Suria KLCC, a modern, six-level shopping mall. You can sit and relax, or browse for mementos in the wide array of retail shops.
