Today’s Excursion – Oslo and the National Museum
We discovered the art, history, and culture of Norway during this scenic excursion through Oslo, including a photo stop at Ekeberg viewpoint and a visit the newest and largest museum in Scandinavia: the Norwegian National Museum.
City Tour and Ekeberg View Point
We stop at Ekeberg Park to take beautiful pictures of the city. This was the site where Edward Munch got his inspiration to paint “The Scream”.

Oslo has received a lot of press reception in the last years due to its fascinating modern architecture that has turned Oslo’s
harbour into one of the most modern architectural showpieces in Europe including world-class art.
After eight years of planning and development, the largest museum in the Nordic Countries finally opened in June 2022. It
covers an exhibition area of around 130,000 square feet and has more than 5000 works of art on display, from medieval tapestries to modern designs and Norwegian paintings. The most famous is the “The Scream” by Edvard Munch.
We went to the Opera House to climb its sloped roof to take pictures of the views.
